ROG.e has new names confirmed and parallel events in its schedule
16/07/2024With three months to go, ROG.e, one of the world’s leading energy events, already has some big names confirmed on its schedule and the definition of its parallel events. The conference, which will open its first batch of registrations to the general public on July 2, will be held between September 23 and 26 at the Olympic Boulevard in Rio de Janeiro.
The space will be divided into the conference – which encompasses the Strategic Talks, Dialogues, special sessions and presentation of technical papers -, the expo and six parallel events: iUP Innovation Connections, one of this edition’s new features; DE&I Arena; Young Summit; Renewables and Biofuels Arena; Onshore Forum; Lubricants Arena.
Names such as Anders Opedal, CEO of Equinor; Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of TotalEnergies; Wael Sawan, CEO of Shell; Roberto Monteiro, CEO of PRIO; Wallace Pescarino, President of SLB; Liz Schwarze, VP of Global Exploration at Chevron; Gordon Birrell, EVP Production & Operations at bp; Maiza Goulart, Executive Manager at CENPES; R. Blair Thomas, CEO of EIG; Telmo Ghiorzi, Executive President of ABESPetro; Carlos Pascual, Senior Vice-President for Global Energy and International Affairs at S&P Global Commodity Insights, amongst others, are already confirmed.
Rio Oil & Gas is now ROG.e
By the end of 2023, the IBP, the main organizer of energy events in the country, launched the new brand for its main event, and Rio Oil & Gas became ROG.e. The purpose of the change was to embrace all the players in a scenario of energy transition and more prominence for new energy sources. All the repositioning work was based on the concept of “Connecting Energies”, the motto of the 2024 edition.
ROG.e was born with a historic legacy and brings, among its novelties, new thematic axes for the conference – Low Carbon Solutions, People, Culture and Society and Fundability of the Transition – and a more diverse and plural organizing and technical committee, aligned with the most relevant and current topics.
This evolution also reaffirms the event as an important business lever and a driving force behind the revitalization of Rio’s port area. It will be even more busy than the previous edition in 2022. ROG.e will debut with an expanded space of 60,000 m² – up from 51,000 m² two years ago – taking up six pavilions on the Olympic Boulevard and another hangar to be renovated in the area. The previous event brought together 58,000 visitors and more than 450 companies in what was considered the biggest occupation of the Boulevard since the Rio 2016 Olympics.
